Film trailer analysis

This information are always provided in film trailers however they appear any time during the movie. That can occur during the beginning, middle or end .However this film`s information appeared at the end. When I first watched the film I though the name was a bit ridicules and wasn’t interested however the movie started to intrigue me .I wanted to know the information. This shows after creating suspense and curiosity the information for fills the need to watch the film.

I think it may be for young people because I can see flames and explosions .Which are graphics and young people love special effects which is a trend in the 21^st century.

 I think the film is for everyone apart from children. This is because there are some parts of the trailer that appeals to teenagers and there are some parts that appeal to adults.

I think the film has unique selling .Like other films in its category, it’s a natural disaster films and it’s about thriving nature`s destruction which is thrown in t Humanity’s way. However the unique selling point “crops and animals have died out” which already shows that the human race is dying quickly. Which suggest the last option for some humans to survive is to turn to cannibalism. This is revealed by the actor Viggo Mortensen being the voice over saying “crops and animals have died out”. The voice over is the father himself giving you his perspective of the world. This makes it very realistic. By using the character makes it sound real and serious.

The music played in the background sound optimistic because it has pitches of the keyboard however the base sound pessimistic .This is because there is the minor key of the piano playing in the background. However the sound changes to high pitch on the guitar. In the beginning of the trailer you feel curious and sad: from the effect of the music. Then you feel happy, joyful and hopeful from the effect of the guitar: during the middle of the movie. Then they clash together towards the end. During the end the piano is the last instrument to end. Which may suggest the ending is a sad ending.

We can see that the trailer gives a vivid idea of the film. This because we can clearly see something has happened in the world .Such as the plants and animals died. However it is not clearly why humans are killing each other but we definitely know that it’s to do with the apocalypse. The poster shows that there is something happen and it’s a natural disaster movie. It shows the brief sub plot but a vivid narrative. However the film’s trailer makes it more clearly on the film is about.

The film trailer looks more interesting however it makes it more heart warming .This is because of the theme of family love is presented. This is why audience who heart warming may find it desirable .Also the end of the world interests a variety of people. This is because we all want to know the interpretations and predictions of how our world will end. Also the graphics and stunts make the movie more realistic and ecstatic.

It will be seen worldwide which means many people will view the trailer and might take an interest.

Many more nations will see rather than the America and United Kingdom .The more countries that view the trailers the more contracts for the film to be viewed in that country. This promotes the film unlike the poster. This would only be published in the United Kingdom and America.
