There is only one name at the top of the poster which suggests that this man is the main character and the movie mainly based in him. Then at the bottom we can see the other actors in the movie which shows they are co stars in the movie. The title of the movie is very striking because of the way the font has been designed .Which shows this movie is very graphic.
The colour reflects to colours of world war movies .Which suggest they may be a war or something to do with viruses or nuclear attack. The man has facial hair and he looks rough which may suggest he used to be a normal civilised man after a certain event he has lost focus on his appearance and just want to have a focal point on getting surviving. I figured this out because the pictures all have suggestions attached with them. The suggestions are very obvious because of the facial expression and the setting of the poster.
I think this movie is about pandemic disease in the world. Maybe the majority of the population is dead. Only a few people are thriving through this extreme environment. The man in this poster and his son must be the main characters of this disaster. They way they are dress empathises they are survivors and refugees trying to get somewhere. The father is holding a gun which can suggest that there is danger and that’s his weapon to protect him and his son.The title has been designed this way because it makes the the title stand out. This is because the whole poster is grey and damp. The white that is filling in the letters makes the title stand out from the poster: so that the audience knows what the movie is called.

We can see the genre is natural disaster because they look rough and tired. This shows they are troubled. The ship in background shows that that something has happened probably the apocalypse or a natural storm. This sort relates to how the character jack dressed in the day after tomorrow when he was looking for his son. However in this movie this man has his son.
The storyline maybe it is another apocalypse story about a father and son trying to get to place where they can be safe from danger.
The people that maybe interested in going to see this film is adults because of the actor “Viggo Mortensen” who is a middle aged man who a famous actor in other successful films such as good released in 2008; Appaloosa 2008.Which were very successful films .Viggo mortensen staring in this film, can promote the film more because people think that this film is a good film.
The director John Hillcoat can also make people have a good impression this film because he directed the film”no country for old men” which earned many awards and praises from critics .Can lead people into think this film is maybe another outstanding film.
The themes can also lead people into having a good impression about this film. This is because the poster is gloomy , and the font colour is orange contrasted with yellow .This can make people think this movie maybe sad .which makes people want to see it more film such as the titanic.
